Iracionalni izbruhi so zato vedno bolj tipična reakcija.
Andrej E. Skubic is one of the authors interested in urban life and the way it is after many of the myths have been destroyed – for example, our myth about the revolution and a better world – and have been replaced by the cruel reality of the everyday fight for survival and unsuccessful attempts to escape from the maze of idle social interaction. The hero of this world is an “unimportant man” searching for the escape from helplessness and distress in apathy or violence.
The main heroes of Skubic's play are Neža – Nežika and Matjaž – Matiček, a variation of the heroes from the play by A. T. Linhart, who live in a world where the methods of control over one's mind are more and more sophisticated. Irrational outburts are thus becoming an increasingly typical reaction. Hence the unemployed Matjaž “loses it” one fine day and ties his friend, waitress Neža, to the bar, while threatening the rest of the punters with a Kalashnikov. However, his attempt to draw attention to himself and his empty despair would fail were it not for Petra, a journalist from the local cable network Face TV who had the idea to record this “event” with her mobile phone and show it to at least 400,000 cable viewers via Face TV.

This first staging is particularly meticulous with the performing elements in Skubic's text /…/ a performance that decides to present the text in one swing and cleverly solves the change between acts with a twist in stage design (Mojca Kocbek Vimos). Although it stalls a bit in building-up the atmosphere in the second part, it is fluid enough and, most importantly, presents clear characters.
